Why 206g2 for Topre stabilizers
Properly lubricating a Topre stabilizer bar requires an NLGI Grade 2 grease. Thinner greases like Krytox 205g0 or TriboSys 3204 are not viscous enough to eliminate stabilizer rattle. Thick greases like dielectric grease or Krytox XHT-BDZ go the other direction — they're difficult to control and can impair the sliding motion of the plunger. Silicone-based dielectric grease should never be used with Topre domes.
206g2 is the correct viscosity and, critically, it is the only Krytox grease stable enough to store in a syringe without separating.
Why a syringe
The conventional method of dipping or painting the stabilizer wire works, but precision is difficult to maintain and results vary build to build. A syringe lets you place the grease exactly where wire contacts housing — under clips, at exit cavities, along the bar — with consistent volume every time. This method has been refined across 150+ Topre builds.

The thermal decomposition vapors of fluorinated polymers may cause polymer fume fever with flu-like symptoms. Wash hands thoroughly before smoking or handling tobacco products.
This lubricant cannot be cleaned with soap and water and is resistant to many solvents. Although chemically stable and non-hazardous under normal use, please wear gloves and place a protective drop cloth below your working surface. Spills are difficult to clean and the lubricant will transfer from hands to any surface touched. Clean up any spills with a microfiber cloth.
